Brought to you by the National Trust for the Festival of Archaeology. Take in the views and learn about the particular history of the area on a guided walk along the Whitehaven Coast trail.
Ranger Chris Gomersall will guide you on a 2 hour walk along the coast where he will talk about the mining history of this area of the coast as well as the stories around the founding of Whitehaven. Take a step back in time as you imagine what it would have been like when the town was a bustling port, busy with imports and exports travelling by sea. Of course, the high view over the sea with the flowering meadows we have been working to restore makes for a picture perfect day everyone can enjoy.
This is a free event and booking is essential.
